HomeAhead: Helping Turn Empty Spaces into Homes

In July, Erie Rotary Club member Lew Miller proudly presented a $350 check to HomeAhead, a local nonprofit working to furnish homes—and restore dignity—for individuals and families transitioning out of homelessness.

“Our contribution helps make a difference in people’s lives in the communities where we live,”

Founded in 2021, HomeAhead has already made a remarkable impact. With the recent expansion of the boulder warehouse to a new warehouse locations—in Longmont—the organization is scaling up its mission to ensure that when someone receives housing, they don’t move into an empty room, but a real home with real furnishings.
