Each year on July 1st, Rotary clubs around the world begin a new chapter—and so do we here at Erie Rotary. This marks the traditional changing of the guard, when we thank our outgoing leadership and induct a new club president to guide us forward.
As we welcome new leadership, we’re also coming together to map out a shared Vision for the next three years of Erie Rotary. Not just a list of goals—but a real game plan, built by all of us, for the future we want to create. We would love your ideas.
This year, we’re doing more than just passing the gavel.
We’re kicking off a brand-new chapter—full of ideas, momentum, and big dreams for what’s next. As we welcome new leadership, we’re also doing something that Rotary clubs around the world are known for—hosting a Visioning session. It’s a focused, fast-paced workshop where members dream big, share ideas, and shape the direction of the club together. In just a few hours, we’ll capture what matters most to our members and turn it into a shared Vision that guides our next three years.
We’re taking inspiration from Rotary International’s Action Plan—four bold priorities that guide clubs around the world: increase our impact, expand our reach, enhance participant engagement, and adapt to change. These aren’t just buzzwords—they’re a challenge to think bigger, serve smarter, and make Rotary more relevant in people’s lives.
And Erie Rotary is ready to rise to the occasion.
And let’s be honest—we’re not starting from scratch. Over the last few years, our club has been busy. We’ve built strong ties with the Town of Erie, said “yes” to service opportunities big and small, and opened our arms to new members who bring fresh energy and heart. We’ve shown up, stepped in, and made things happen.
It all aligns with Rotary’s big-picture purpose: to unite people and take action to create lasting change—in our communities, around the world, and in ourselves. Pretty inspiring, right?
Now we’re looking ahead, and the club is strong. Our membership is growing, our energy is high, and we’re ready to take things to the next level. Whether it’s packing meals, planting trees, mentoring youth, or just grabbing coffee to brainstorm the next great idea—we’re in.
So yes, the gavel’s changing hands—but this club? We’re just getting started. Let’s dream big, roll up our sleeves, and have some fun while we build something amazing—together.
