The Dave McChesney Scholarship honors a beloved Rotarian and lifelong advocate for youth.
For 44 years, David led special education in Braxton County, WV, and through Rotary—both there and in Erie—he championed students and the power of education to transform lives.
David helped shape our club’s scholarship program, always urging us to look beyond grades and see the whole student—those living Rotary’s Four-Way Test through service, character, and heart.
Since his passing in 2023, we’ve proudly continued this tradition, awarding scholarships to students who reflect David’s legacy of purpose, compassion, and impact.
