Youth Services
Investing in the Next Generation
Since our founding in 2006, the Erie Colorado Rotary Club has been deeply committed to supporting youth in our community. Over the years, we’ve awarded more than $50,000 in college scholarships to graduating high school seniors—helping local students take their next big step with confidence.
We also invest in leadership development through the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA), sending students to a transformational summer leadership camp at the YMCA of the Rockies. We're proud to bring this program back for the 2024–25 Rotary year and will be looking for students to attend in the summer of 2026—so stay tuned!
Youth Service in Action
We’re passionate about investing in the next generation. Here’s how we serve youth locally and globally:
- David McChesney Memorial Scholarship - honoring one of our own Rotary Club Members who life was dedicated to education. Open to all Erie Residents.
- Interact Club at Peak to Peak High School – Students lead service projects, grow as leaders, and connect with peers around the world.
- Rotary Youth Exchange – We've hosted international students and aim to send Erie youth abroad for life-changing cultural experiences.
- Future Initiatives – We’re expanding opportunities in mentorship, leadership, and civic engagement for youth of all ages.
If you believe in empowering young people, we’d love your ideas and energy. Let’s shape the future—together.
