At Erie Rotary, we believe in showing up—wherever our community needs us. Whether it’s a hometown tradition, an urgent need, or a brand-new idea, our members roll up their sleeves and get to work.

Signature Event: Nature with Neighbors

Each May, we host Nature with Neighbors, our annual signature event aligned with Rotary’s EPIC Day of Service. In partnership with the Town of Erie and Friends of Coal Creek, we restore and enhance local natural spaces—while connecting neighbors through service.

From planting native species to trail repair and wetland revitalization, volunteers make a lasting, visible impact on Erie’s environment and sense of community.

Following are examples of our Community Service Projects:

• Medical Loan Closet – Helping residents access essential medical equipment.
• Erie Food Bank: Turkey Drive – Donating Thanksgiving meals to local families.
• Police Officer Gift Cards – Emergency food assistance, handed out with dignity by local officers.
• Graduation Shuttle Service – Offering safe transport from parking to ceremony entrance.
• Active Adults Dinner – We manage the bar so the crowd can relax and celebrate.
• Sanchez Elementary Cultural Events – Supporting “Back to School Night” and Taste of Sanchez—a vibrant celebration of the school’s diverse cultures.
• Pilgrimage 5K Run – Morning beer tent (yes, it’s a thing!) with The Recess Factory. 
• Erie Air Fair – Beer tent fun with The Recess Factory and the Erie Economic Development Council. 
• Parade of Lights – Crowd support in partnership with the Erie Chamber. 
• Bolder Boulder – Lending hands at Colorado’s iconic race. 
• Coal Creek ‘Meals on Heels’ – Powering their annual fundraiser with energy and volunteers.
• Community Forums & Candidate Nights – Hosting events that promote informed voting and meaningful dialogue.
• Parks and Recreation Projects – Pitching in to improve community spaces and enhance Erie’s quality of life.
